Interview with JonnY Diaz. Won't Go Quietly (Official Trailer) A film by Jonny Diaz.

Interview with JonnY Diaz, D.P. of Won't Go Quietly. Solo Pictures Studios.

Luke: If you had to relate WGQ to a food, what would it be?
JonnY: Hmm any Burger from "Bad Apple" in Chicago. Just as long as its Spicy Delicious and not healthy.
Luke: Which actor was the most difficult to work with? And why?
JonnY: The last day of shooting we filmed the scene where everyone is hanging out and drinking. (You can see it in the trailer) I think everyone in that scene got drunk instantaneously.  Lets just say all the actors were dedicated to becoming method actors. But i didn't mind I'm a fan of anything that brings true authenticity to a film.
Luke: Did you try any new methods, equipment, or camera shots for this film that you hadn't tried before?
JonnY: Always.
Luke: Elaborate lol
JonnY: Too many too count & type lol but I always try something new in each project I shoot. A lot of research & a lot of planning goes into it. I even researched the Kama Sutra book for some of the scenes.
Luke: Did you handle all of the filming on this film, or did you include some friends in the business?
JonnY: I always try to throw my friends in all of pictures if it fits the story. Jon Hamblin is my main shooter and Ryan Atenhan did all the sound. This was actually the first film that I stepped in to D.P. for some scenes mainly because of scheduling. I was fortunate  enough to borrow Geoff's and Linds camera for some scenes.
Luke: How many hours were spent on filming WGQ?
JonnY: A short amount. 4 days of Filmin but they were all spread out. We began December 4th 2012 (Jayz Bday) and ended some time in mid- late Feb.
We also had to do some pick up Voice over sessions in early March
Luke: Tough schedule considering you work full time. What message do you think most viewers will take away from WGQ?
JonnY: Yeah I mean the thing is to everyone who worked on this project had a full time job plus this going on as well. I think Cassidy was in  about 5 plays at once while we were filming. That girl's a star.
As far as what message do I think most viewers will get? I leave that up to them. I just hope they enjoy it
Luke: 2 words describing Cassidy
JonnY: Stellar star
Luke: 2 words describing Ryan Foster
JonnY: Dedicated and willing
Luke: And 2 words for yourself
JonnY: Hungry yo
Luke: Hungry hoe?
JonnY: Lol nope. I'm just hungry yo.
Luke: What are your plans with this film, festivals, screenings, online release?
JonnY: Yup and hopefully in that order. I'm Also trying to get funding for the feature length film. Hopefully start shooting in July. We're going to have an indie GoGo account set up on Monday.
Luke: My next question was if a full length was next in your repertoire, so that answers that.
How important are friends when it comes to your style of DIY films and videos?
JonnY: They're everything man. When I say I couldn't have done it without them I mean exactly that!
Everything from auditions, shooting, planning, post-production to hosting the screening. I feel humbled, honored and incredibly blessed to have these friends in my life.
Luke: Will we see a hashtag jonnyjuice in any upcoming projects?
JonnY: Hahaha damn that #jonnyjuice it's all over Instagram already. I prefer to stay behind the camera as often as possible. Although I do have an appearance in the end credits for WGQ
Luke: When will you start on writing the script for Bag Of Dicks?
JonnY: Soon as I can shoot a Beastie Boy Music Video in St. Louis
Luke: Bag Of Dicks, 3 friends named Richard take a road trip South.
JonnY: Haha, it almost writes itself!
Luke: Final question, what is #jonnyjuice doing right now?
JonnY: Trying to leave work now and get drunk with Ryan. I think he wants to skeeball at a 4am bar.

Ryan: Not sure yet..I can tell you what I won't be wearing. Underwear.
